Uniqsis was founded in January 2007 and is an alliance between Asynt, the specialist supplier of organic synthesis apparatus, and Grant Instruments Ltd, the long established scientific equipment manufacturer. Uniqsis’ aim is to develop innovative microreaction technology products for customers in both the research and biopharmaceutical sector.

In 2003 Martyn formed Asynt Ltd which is now an internationally recognised company in the chemistry field, he is currently the Managing Director at Asynt.

Building on the success of Asynt, Martyn seeked out Grant as an ideal partner to develop microreaction technology. Martyn oversees Uniqsis as a whole ensuring that its future goals will be met by a dedicated team of chemists and engineers.

After gaining a 1st Class Honours Masters Degree in Chemistry with a year in industry at Bristol University Sam went on to work for Pfizer Drug Discovery prior to joining Asynt in its embryo year. She has been a key figure in Asynt’s path to success and is currently the UK Sales Manager.

Within her role at Asynt, Sam instigated the customer survey which lead to the development of FlowSyn. Now Sam is integral in pulling together the development team, sales and marketing and customer liaison.

Paul Pergande

Paul has a Degree in Chemistry and a Diploma in Marketing and has been involved with the technical development and marketing of scientific instruments for over 20 years. He is also currently a Director of Biosan in Latvia and Grant Instruments where he oversees the Technologies Division.

At Uniqsis Paul is heading the development team and his prime role is to ensure that Uniqsis have a well engineered, safe and reliable product.

Mark was until recently head of the GSK Cambridge Technology Laboratory based within the University of Cambridge where, in recent years, he has collaborated closely with Professor Steven Ley in developing flow chemistry as an emerging new chemistry technology. Following a period as an independent consultant developing flow chemistry applications, he now joins Uniqsis as Chief Scientific Officer.

After a career at Prudential Louisa formed her own company in 1996 to supply consumer goods. In 2004 Louisa established herself at Asynt as financial director. She is in charge of the Uniqsis finances, ensuring that the day to day business targets are met.
