Glass Static Mixer Blocks

To achieve high reproducibility and facilitate scale up, it is important to control both mixing and temperature. This is particularly true, for highly exothermic or fast, mixing dependent reactions.

On a small scale, good control of mixing can typically be achieved by relying upon diffusion in narrow channels. In these cases, a simple 'T'-mixer (supplied as standard) is adequate.

For higher throughput applications however, or where diffusion is slow, efficient turbulent mixing may be required.

Uniqsis have designed a range of glass static mixer blocks with narrow channels incorporating active mixing geometries that benefit from both diffusional and turbulent mixing, are chemically inert and function as very efficient heat exchangers.

Product features

  • Efficient mixing - Static mixer blocks offer superior mixing to the standard 'T'-piece
  • Control exotherms - Heat can be removed more effectively from the mixer blocks making them ideal for controlling exotherms which occur during mixing
  • Visibility - Chemist can see what is happening in the reactor
  • Pressure rated - Each chip is pressure tested to 1000 psi
  • Easy to use - Standard fittings are used, no tricky connections
